Luke 3:21 When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened
Luke 3:21 New International Version (NIV)
The Baptism and Genealogy of Jesus
What a prayer it was! Prayer from the bank of the Jordan river causes the gates of heaven to be opened. When all seems going normal and ordinarily in the river by John the Baptist standing side by side you will hear a prayer which causes the heavenly sphere joining at the moment. Heaven simply could not hold back it anymore. This was a perfect time and equal perfect opportunity to announce to the world the ‘commisioning of the Saviour’. From all the beginning of creation and fall of men into sin, God was looking for this hour when the Messiah would come and take humanity back to Father in Heaven.
What do God expect from his children today? I am sure we are His beloved children and have given the same authority like His only Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Do we have prayer of this kind in our lives? Do our prayers move heaven toward us?
What we needed in our life, we need prayers that open heaven. The time has come for Christians were prayers that will open heaven. Elijah’s prayer caused heaven’s opening and pouring out water for all over Isreal. Elijah caused the shutting of heaven and Isreal went through a famine throughout the land. We need people in our generation who are moving in the spirit of Elijah and whose prayer will make extraordinary works in the name of our Lord. Jesus said this ““Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”” Matthew 18:18-20 NIV (https://www.bible.com/111/mat.18.18-20.niv). God has given you the authority, the anointing and the mandate to bind and loose things here on this earth and subsequently they are effectuated in the heavenly realms. Your agreeable prayers between brethren in the Church and amongst family members are surely assured of answers. Let our prayer become extraordinarily because they are effecting different spheres of the universe.
Where ever disciples of Jesus went they were world changers. They turned the world upside down. “And when they (Paul and Silas) found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;” Acts 17:6 KJV (https://www.bible.com/1/act.17.6.kjv) These were the commendation received by ordinary believers in the early period of Christianity from the opposition side. These believers lived very simple and ordinary manner, but prayed and acted as movers and shakers of the world. Most early disciples were uneducated and came from ordinary walks of life, but they prayed effectively so the prison gates could not hold one of them. Apostle’s prayers brought miracles and healing to those needed it. One of those early disciples prayer looking to heaven while being stoned, but he saw heaven opened. What a prayer that could be!?
Your prayers open heaven to pour out the Holy Spirit, prayers shuts and opens heaven to rain on the earth, prayers bestow healings and miracles on earth, prayers to bind and loose things on earth and simultaneously in heaven and your prayers looking for upward visualize open heaven. Have you heard that ‘prayer’, yet!?
